Farm Service Agency

click here to go to FSA WebsiteThe Farm Service Agency is a federal agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Located in all 50 states, their mission is to help American farmers provide reasonably priced food and fiber to the Nation and the World.

FSA makes direct and guaranteed farm ownership (FO) and operating loans (OL) to family-size farmers and ranchers who cannot obtain commercial credit from a bank, Farm Credit System institution, or other lender. FSA loans can be used to purchase land, livestock, equipment, feed, seed and supplies. FSA loans can also be used to construct buildings or make farm improvements.

FSA is here to help Oregon farmers and ranchers secure the greatest possible benefit from programs administered by FSA. We accomplish this by providing quality service to Oregon's agricultural community through a broad variety of commodity, loan and loan guarantee, conservation, and disaster relief programs. These programs provide a safety net for Oregon's ag producers, and an opportunity for beginning farmers and ranchers. The programs also provide economic stability for Oregon's rural communities, and help contribute to the States' agricultural economy as a whole.
