We are currently looking for a Rural Lands Conservation Specialist!

The Upper Willamette Soil & Water Conservation District is looking for a Rural Lands Conservation Specialist whose role is vital in engaging private agricultural, working lands, rural, and timber landowners and managers interested in implementing voluntary conservation practices. This position primarily focuses on assisting the Oregon Department of Agriculture with implementing local agriculture water quality plans, highlighting the importance of the role in the community. By conducting conservation planning, project development, design, and implementation with rural residents, the Conservation Specialist plays a key role in rural conservation efforts within the boundaries of the Upper Willamette Soil and Water Conservation District.

Rural Lands Conservation Specialist Job Description

We are currently looking for a Community Engagement Specialist!

The Upper Willamette Soil & Water Conservation District is seeking a Community Engagement Specialist, a new position that will support and participate in multiple District programs, including grantmaking, supporting community partnership networks, coordinating special events, and developing new education programs. The position will include project management responsibilities as well as direct public and partner engagement and education.

The Community Engagement Specialist will work closely with the Grant Management Specialist to develop grant opportunities to award funding to community partners and landowners in support of the District’s Farm / Food / Soil and Neighborhood Sustainability strategies.
